White wedding

Couples are lining up for a real white wedding after an ice church opened alongside an ice hotel at Balea Lac in the Fagaras mountains in Romania.

The ice church which was carved using hundreds of huge ice blocks is an exact replica of an old Germanic church in Malancrav village in Sibiu county.

Creators chose the church because it is in the village where Prince Charles bought property which he usually visits at least once each year.

And the ice church is situated next to an ice hotel for a wedding night to remember with both located at an altitude of 6,600 feet.

Ice church priest Father Ioan Crisan said: "At minus 20 degrees it means I get a frosty reception from worshippers - but it's still a lot of fun holding the services in the church.

"We don't just do weddings, we also hold regular mass but the weddings are the most common."

Guests have been staying at the hotel since December although the church only opened for business this week.
